These socks remind me of Dad, coming home from work as a heavy-duty mechanic out in logging camps. His big baby-blue Ford pickup rumbled up the driveway, and my mom, my sister and I ran outside, so excited to welcome him home.

sizing	Baby (Toddler, Child, Mama, Papa) Baby: Cuff 5" around. Foot 3.5" long. Toddler: Cuff 6.5" around. Foot 4.5" long. Child: Cuff 7.5" around. Foot 6" long. Mama: Cuff 10.5" around. Foot adjustable. Papa: Cuff 13.5" around. Foot adjustable.
materials	DK weight yarn Main Colour: 75 (150, 200, 225, 350) yds Contrast Colour: 25 (40, 50, 60, 75) yds samples shown in Madelinetosh Tosh DK in 'silver fox' and 'tart'
gauge	24 sts / 4" in stockinette stitch (on larger needles)
suggested needles	US #2 / 2.75mm and US #3 / 3.0mm (or as req'd to meet gauge); double pointed needles
notes	sock is knit from cuff down, with heel flap, and kitchener stitch to close toe
